For international transport, we put our entire transport expertise in motion for you: highly motivated logistics experts, state-of-the-art vehicles, high-performance systems and the latest IT and communication systems. As a member of various European networks and in cooperation with our air and sea freight experts, we take care of your international transport including customs clearance and everything that goes with it. By road, rail, air or sea.
For international transport, we can advise you on the ideal modal split. We use every mode of transport that ensures rapid international shipping.
On the road, we handle consolidated shipments, partial loads and complete loads. Trucks are flexible and can also cover the last mile, and we use them wherever they make a valuable contribution in the modal split.
Rail is always a key element of our sustainability concept and is also used internationally, depending on the situation. For example, the Trans-Siberian Railway from China to Europe is a faster – and cheaper – alternative to sea freight.
Transport by air is fast and especially suitable for more valuable goods such as watches and pharmaceuticals. The size of the aircraft and the cargo hold, as well as legal requirements, determine what we can transport by air. Depending on the quantity, the distance to the airport and your own storage capacities, air freight might be one of your key transport modes. And we can also lend a hand with our road feeder service.
Transport by sea is the answer for large volumes and long distances. But it also means longer dispatch times. We arrange transport to and from the seaport by barge, rail or road according to your needs.
Before goods can cross the Swiss border, they have to be cleared through customs. We will work out the best solution for you, whether it’s individual customs clearance or complex clearance concepts. For international transport, we also take care of all customs formalities for you; we speak the language of customs officers.
We work with logistics partners and networks around the globe that we can rely on and who share our quality standards in international shipping. We also belong to various associations for international transport.
Our IT department uses an electronic data interface (EDI) to link your ERP software with our transport or warehouse logistics system – or both. This ensures that all transport-related data such as sender and recipient, type of goods, number of items, packaging, gross weight, dimensions and all the information required for warehouse logistics such as article master data, production order, parts list, customer order, status bookings and returns handling match your ERP data. If you do not want an EDI interface, you can enter your orders manually in our customer portal.
If your goods are coming from Europe or the rest of the world, we consolidate them near the border in our hubs in southern Germany, Alsace or Lombardy. We either collect them ourselves, or you have them delivered to us by your carrier. Either way, we bring your combined goods into Switzerland from the EU, including dealing with customs clearance. That includes export duty declarations from Germany, France and Italy, as well as T1 and T2 customs transit documents. The best part is that these sites also serve as conveniently located distribution platforms. Each day, we distribute all deliveries to our European network partners from these three locations.
With locations in Switzerland, Germany, France and Italy, your import and export logistics have the best connections in Europe.
You can also benefit from the transport skills of the Planzer Group in the rest of the world.
As a family-owned company, we foster a corporate culture that guarantees loyal, long-term partnership.
We apply our Swiss quality standards for you in international business.
