There are quite a few challenges involved in delivering on time. We overcome these challenges with our ‘Planzer Parcel’ service. We see ourselves as a part of your end customer’s purchase journey. Remember – the end of a shopping experience is the receipt of the goods, not the check-out in the online shop.
Planzer Parcel transports your parcels of up to 30 kg. We do everything we can to ensure a great customer experience and personal delivery. Because we take care of the key moment in the customer experience: the handover of the package. We save time by sending your parcels to the target region overnight on environmentally friendly freight trains – traffic jams and bad weather can’t stop us. We use 10 of our 13 railway centres and cover the ‘last mile’ to your recipient’s front door with our parcel vehicles; and in Zermatt with our parcel carrier Benny.
As soon as you have ordered a shipment, we will confirm this to you and your recipient by email or SMS. If the delivery is unsuccessful, we leave a card in the mailbox and inform the recipient by email or SMS. They also receive an email or SMS in the event of successful delivery.
If no time is specified, domestic recipients will receive your consignment no later than the evening of the next working day. You can also decide exactly when your package should arrive. For a small surcharge you can choose from:
You determine whether we should deposit your customer’s parcel without personal confirmation from the recipient or hand it over to a defined person. Or you can request an identity check of the recipient before we give them the package.
The end customer also has the option of easily and flexibly changing the delivery conditions, such as the recipient’s name and address, up to one day before delivery.
Transport processes and parcel returns are often complex and time consuming. That is why we also take return shipments with us when we deliver parcels.
In this module, we pick up multiple parcels for you at different locations and take them to a single recipient address.
Our environmentally friendly ecoboxes protect your shipments better than normal cardboard boxes. Ecoboxes come with seals and an identification code for greater shipping security. We also scan your parcel at each point of contact, so you can keep track of your ecobox around the clock in (almost) real time.

We worked with the Fraunhofer Institute to develop a self-learning algorithm. This allows for dynamic route planning that incorporates your sender preferences or those of your recipients. This algorithm helps us to meet your customers in person for delivery.
You can’t have parcels delivered right to your door AND protect the environment, can you? Yes, you can. That’s exactly why we plan the ‘Planzer Parcel’ routes with fast, self-learning algorithms.
Together with the IML, we developed a self-learning algorithm and provided it with a range of influencing factors, criteria and priorities. These included orders with a same-day collection or delivery date, the number of available drivers, distances, stop times and much more.
Our IT department uses an electronic data interface (EDI) to link your ERP software with our transport or warehouse logistics system – or both. This ensures that all transport-related data such as sender and recipient, type of goods, number of items, packaging, gross weight, dimensions and all the information required for warehouse logistics such as article master data, production order, parts list, customer order, status bookings and returns handling match your ERP data. If you do not want an EDI interface, you can enter your orders manually in our customer portal.
